DE QUEEN – CCCUA’s Financial Aid Director Denise Hammond announced today that the College will offer a one-time scholarship of $300 to a Distance Education student in the Spring of 2004. This scholarship is funded with the honorarium the College received from the Arkansas Distance Learning Association (ARDLA) as part of its presentation of the “Excellence in Distance Learning Programming” award. This is the second consecutive year CCCUA has received this award from ARDLA.
Hammond stated that the $300 scholarship is designated for a returning student who is taking at least two on-line courses (6-7 credit hours) at CCCUA. The deadline for submitting applications is December 12, 2003. Students may return scholarship applications to the Financial Aid Office on the De Queen campus of CCCUA.
Cossatot Community College offers both technical certification and Associate’s degrees in a wide range of fields on its campus at De Queen, at extension sites at Nashville and Ashdown, and at cccua.edu. It has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students, and is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Higher Learning.
