Natalie Morrow was crowned Miss Southern Arkansas University last weekend in Magnolia.
A native of Bryant, she is a graduate of UA Cossatot and participated in the transfer program to SAU where she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She plans to graduate in May of 2017 after completing her student internship. Morrow lives in Nashville, works as a stylist at Wild Ivy Salon and at UA Cossatot all while attending SAU.
As the winner of the scholarship competition, Morrow earned over $6,000 in scholarships and over $1,000 in prizes and awards. The title also earned her a place in the Miss Arkansas competition held in Hot Springs this summer
“I chose UA Cossatot for my Associate Degree because of the curriculum that was available through online courses,” said Morrow. “I work full time as a cosmetologist at Wild Ivy Salon, so I wanted to be enrolled in a school that allowed me to be flexible with my work schedule.”
Morrow lives in Nashville and is enrolled in online classes, along with other off-campus students, who participate in the Early Childhood Education program designed for working students. Eventually, she plans to obtain a Masters in Counseling and Professional Studies and use that degree to become a counselor at the elementary school level.
