The UA Cossatot Physical Therapist Assistant Program was recently notified the Program has been granted accreditation for an initial five-year length.

The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) granted the Program accreditation effective October 29, 2019, following a comprehensive self-study and onsite visit conducted in the spring of 2019.

“Accreditation is extremely important as it ensures the educational quality our students receive,” reports Jennifer Sanderson, Program Director for the PTA Program. “We are excited to see our program grow and flourish,” says Sanderson. Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited program is required for graduates to sit for the national examination.

The UA Cossatot Physical Therapist Assistant Program boasts a comprehensive curriculum and recently graduated their first cohort in August 2019 while matriculating a second cohort with an anticipated graduation in August 2020. Applications for admission into the 2020-2021 Program will be open on December 1, 2019.
