UA Cossatot Community College Application,
Enrollment & Registration Information
Thank you for considering UA Cossatot as the next step in your academic career. We look forward to seeing you on our campus and helping you reach each of your educational and career goals.
UA Cossatot is an open-enrollment institution, and most students with a high school degree, GED, or previously-acquired college degree are accepted for registration once they have completed the admissions process. If you are interested in attending UAC in the upcoming school year, we invite you to view each step of our application and enrollment process below.
If you need assistance or additional information regarding the admissions requirements at UA Cossatot, please do not hesitate to contact any of our Admissions Advisors found in “Step 3” of the enrollment process.
STEP 1: Complete the Admissions Application Process
(Please use the Google Chrome web browser to ensure compatibility.)
This short video shows the easy step-by-step process for completing the application.
Upon processing your Admissions Application, one of our Admissions Advisors from our De Queen, Ashdown, or Nashville campuses will contact you to guide you through the remainder of the admissions and enrollment process. We will also send you a letter to inform you of any additional documents or information required to complete your registration. This letter will also include your assigned student ID number, declared major, and the name of your assigned program advisor.
Your acceptance to UA Cossatot will be in “pending“ status until all required admission documents are received. These required documents include:
- Official High School Transcript or GED Scores – Provide official transcripts from the high school or home school attended. Per AR Code § 6-80-107 institutions within Arkansas must send electronic transcripts if possible. International transcripts MUST be certified and translated into English to be considered. GED graduates must provide GED test scores. Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher are not required to provide high school transcripts or GED information but must provide their official college/university transcripts.
- Placement Test Scores – ACCUPLACER, ACT, and SAT standardized test scores are accepted. UA Cossatot Testing Centers administer the ACCUPLACER free of charge after the application for admission has been processed. ACCUPLACER retakes are $10.00 per section per attempt.
- Proof of (2) MMR Immunizations – Arkansas state law (Act 141 of 1987) requires proof of two (2) immunizations against measles (rubeola), one (1) immunization against rubella, and one (1) against mumps. UA Cossatot will attempt to obtain an immunization record from the Arkansas Department of Health database. If needed, students may go to the local county health office for additional immunizations. To claim a medical, philosophical, or religious immunization exemption, contact the Department of Health at 501-661-2169 or go to https://www.healthy.arkansas.gov/programs-services/topics/immunizations. Proof of immunity as documented by serological testing (titer test) must be verified with the Department of Health. Students born before Jan. 1, 1957, are not required to provide proof of immunization.
- Official College Transcripts (if applicable) – Provide official transcripts from all colleges attended. Per AR Code § 6-80-107 institutions within Arkansas must send electronic transcripts if possible. If you have graduated with a 4-year (bachelor’s) degree or higher, and also submit an official college transcript documenting such, the requirement of an official high school transcript may be waived. Please note that all international transcripts MUST be certified and translated into English to be considered.
Additional Information for International Students Seeking Admission to UA Cossatot Community College
International students must send their official transcripts and admissions documents through an accredited evaluation service prior to submitting them to UAC. The student is responsible for paying for their transcript evaluation and translation. It is also helpful if students provide translations of applicable course descriptions and/or syllabi if we do not have articulation equivalencies from their prior international institution in our course transfer tables.

STEP 4: Log in to Campus Connect
Once your Admission Application is processed, you will have immediate access to Campus Connect, our student information system. Campus Connect will allow you to view any holds on your account due to missing or outstanding admissions requirements as well as the ability to update your contact information, check your financial aid status, explore your degree requirements, and so much more.
To login to Campus Connect go to the UA Cossatot homepage at www.cccua.edu and click on "Campus Connect" at the top left corner navigation menu. Your login information will be your social security number, and your password will be your full eight-digit date of birth.
STEP 5: Finalize Admissions Requirements and Register for Classes
Once all of the admission requirements are met and there are no further holds on your account, you will receive an official Acceptance Letter and will be ready to enroll at UAC!
Be sure to work with your Admissions Advisor to enroll in the right classes for your intended area of study. Let your Admissions Advisor know if you want to attend full-time (12+ hours / 4+ courses) or part-time (1-11 hours / 1-3 courses) and if you would prefer in-class or online classes so they can build a schedule that works best for you.
Registration for SUMMER and FALL usually begins in mid-April and registration for SPRING usually begins in mid-October.
STEP 6: Make Payment Arrangements
If you applied for financial aid after the priority deadline or are not eligible for financial aid, you will be required to make payment arrangements prior to classes beginning. For more information on your payment options, visit our Payments page at https://www.cccua.edu/pay-for-college/payments or email AskBusinessOffice@cccua.edu.
STEP 7: Attend Colt Kicker Orientation
Colt Kicker Orientation usually occurs the week before classes begin and is mandatory for new students. At orientation, we will ensure you can log on to the campus computers and that you have access to your student email, Blackboard (our learning and course management system), and Campus Connect. You will also get your student ID made and receive your parking permit. Orientation is how we ensure you have everything you need to start the semester and it is your time to ask any questions you may have. If you cannot attend orientation in person, we will work with you through an online orientation.
STEP 8: Get Textbooks & Course Materials
Many classes offered at UAC provide free resources and materials to students instead of requiring them to purchase an expensive traditional textbook. For those classes that do require a textbook, UAC will buy it for you and rent it to you for $30 a semester. The rental fee will be included in your overall bill to eliminate any upfront out-of-pocket expenses. As long as you return rented textbooks by the deadline(,) you will only owe $30 per book!
STEP 9: Know Your UAC Campus Resources
UA Cossatot offers numerous campus resources to ensure your success. The Educational Resource Center (ERC) offers free tutoring, student computers, quiet study rooms, research assistance, and much more. The Center for Student Success (CSS) provides students with a food pantry, a careers and interviews closet, and help with any non-academic issues. Disability Services assists students with disabilities in securing reasonable and appropriate academic accommodations.
For more information on additional campus resources available to UAC students, please visit our Student Life page.
STEP 10: Go to Class!
UA Cossatot cares about your academic success, which is why we enforce an attendance policy in our classes. Remember, if you enroll in classes and things don’t work out, you will be able to drop by the 10th class day for FALL and SPRING semesters and by the 4th class day for SUMMER semester with no financial responsibility. If you must drop courses during a semester, work with your Admissions Advisor to develop a game plan to get ready for next semester.
