POWER Project

Cossatot's POWER project assists students who want to become teachers or nurses (LPN/RN).  Becoming a POWER participant is free.  To qualify, you must be a Cossatot student who is working towards getting credentials to become a licensed teacher, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN).

The POWER grant can assist participants with the costs of examination fees, uniforms, housing, transportation, childcare, and more.  This is an equity grant; the amount of financial assistance depends on the specific needs of the participant.

To apply, complete the POWER Grant Application.

POWER Team

As a part of President Biden's Strengthening Community Colleges initiative, the US Department of Labor funds the POWER project until February 2027.  Our POWER grant is designed to help nursing and education students become credentialed professionals.
