C O L L E G E    I N F O R M A T I O N

Students must provide proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella. UA Cossatot follows the Arkansas State Board of Health Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Immunization Requirements for schools. Applicants seeking an exemption for any reason must apply with Arkansas Department of Health.

  • Students applying for admission to UA Cossatot will be prompted to opt in or out of texting from UA Cossatot. Students that originally opt in but would like to change that option may contact the admissions office at admissionsteam@cccua.edu
  • Texting from UA Cossatot will be used for enrollment, communication and campus safety purposes.

Constitution Day - September 17, 2026 | U.S. Constitution

To celebrate the ratification of the U.S. Constitution, on or around September 17, the college provides a non-partisan voter registration table along with free donuts. The event is open to faculty, staff, and students.

UA Cossatot received federal funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and subsequent Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) programs to support students and institutional operations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. All required federal reporting and disclosures have been completed. This page is maintained as an archive of UA Cossatot's HEERF reports and related documentation for historical reference, transparency, and record-retention purposes.

UA Cossatot programs are designed to prepare students to apply for applicable licensures in Arkansas and may not meet education requirements for a license in another state.  UA Cossatot makes every effort to ensure information about educational requirements for licensure information is current, however, licensure regulations are frequently revised.  In compliance with federal regulations, UA Cossatot has provided the following information about whether a student’s successful completion of our program enables or qualifies him/her to take professional licensing exams necessary to practice their chosen professional discipline in other states?

Medical Education - Professional License Requirements Notification

Voting gives you the power to create positive change for your community and determine a better quality of life for you and your family. Your vote matters! Voting in local, state, and national elections is one of the most important duties of an engaged citizen.

Who can register to vote?

  • You must be registered to vote 30 days before any election in which you plan to vote, so it is important that you do not delay! Here are all of the common requirements you will need to meet in order to register in most states:
  • You must be a citizen of the United States
  • You must be a resident of the state in which you are trying to vote
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • You must not be in prison or on parole for conviction of a felony
  • You must not be considered mentally incompetent by a court

When would I need to Re-Register?

  • Many times people are unsure if they will need to re-register. Here are the basic reasons why you would have to re-register:
  • Your address has changed
  • Your name has changed
  • Your political party affiliation has changed

Key Information on Access to Student Academic Records

Students (or eligible parents/guardians) have the right to:

  • Inspect and review their education records within a reasonable time after a written request to the Office of Student Services.
  • Records include: original application for enrollment, admissions documents, advising notes, grades, progress reports, and electronic media.
  • Copies of grades/transcripts can be provided upon written request (if no financial or academic holds exist).

Requests for access/amendments should go to the Office of Student Services / Registrar. Records are maintained there or electronically.

Release of Records (Privacy Protections)

  • Records cannot be released without the student's written consent, except in specific cases (e.g., school officials with legitimate educational interest, financial aid applications, accrediting bodies, health/safety emergencies, or as required by law).
  • Directory information (name, address, phone, email, major, enrollment status, degrees/awards, etc.) may be released unless the student opts out in writing each semester via a “Request for Non-Disclosure of Directory Information” form.

This complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974. Students receive annual notification of these rights. Complaints about non-compliance can go to the U.S. Department of Education. FERPA section on Student Policies

Related Practices

  • Transcripts: Official transcripts require a student request (via National Student Clearinghouse online or form). Unofficial transcripts are viewable in Campus Connect. UA Cossatot only releases its own transcripts and may hold them for outstanding obligations (with some exceptions per federal rules).
  • Policies emphasize that transcripts are a comprehensive academic record.

Privacy Rights of Students

You may request to examine the school records pertaining to you. The College keeps the following types of records or information:

  1. Original application for enrollment
  2. Admissions document
  3. Advising notes, grades and progress reports
  4. Electronic media: These records are kept in the Office of Student Services. Your written request to look at the records will be granted within a reasonable period of time. Copies of your grades will be provided upon written request, providing your financial account is clear and all admission documents are on file.

Data from your records cannot be released without your consent in writing, except to the following:

  1. School personnel who need information
  2. Your application for financial aid at another college
  3. Accrediting organizations
  4. Research studies for developing tests, administering student aid and improving instruction
  5. Oral communications not based on educational records
  6. Protection of health and safety to others

State and Federal authorities directory information is usually released to anyone on an as-needed basis. If you do not want directory information released, you must advise the Registrar’s Office in writing at the beginning of each semester. If you want information released to any person, business, or organization, you should submit a written request to the Registrar’s Office or sign a release form for the Placement Office. Confidential information related to disabilities can only be released if a student and a minor student’s parent or guardian signs a release form.

Directory information includes:

  • Name, address, telephone number, email address, and advisor
  • Major field of study and official school activities
  • Enrollment status
  • Degrees and awards

UA Cossatot's Privacy Policy complies with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended.
