UA Cossatot will host four Meet the Colts events and fish fries on October 5 through October 8. Festivities will take place in Nashville, Ashdown, Lockesburg, and De Queen.
The Nashville event and fish fry will take place at the Howard County Courthouse on Tuesday, October 5, Ashdown will be held at the Little River County Courthouse on Wednesday, October 6, Lockesburg will take place at the UA Cossatot Bank of Lockesburg Historic Gymnasium on Thursday, October 7, and De Queen will occur at the Weyerhaeuser Room in the Skilled Trades Building on Friday, October 8. Each event and fish fry will begin at 11:00 am and end at 1:00 pm.
The Southwest Arkansas community and UA Cossatot Colts fans will have the opportunity to meet this year’s Colts and Lady Colts and purchase a fish meal and merchandise to support UA Cossatot student-athletes.
The fish meal includes fried catfish, french fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw for a donation of $10 or a Colts Combo, which consists of a fish plate and t-shirt for $20.
UA Cossatot Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach Robert Byrd said, “We're excited about the upcoming Meet the Colts Week. Our student-athletes will have the opportunity to visit the counties we serve. We are looking forward to interacting with members of each community.”
