The UA Cossatot Colts and Lady Colts played a pair of conference games Saturday, January 22, in the Historic UA Cossatot  Bank of Lockesburg Gymnasium.

In the women’s contest, the Lady Colts Were defeated by Mid South 82-61, falling to 7-8 on the season and 0-4 in conference play. Khuyler Hardy led the Lady Colts with 14 points, Kayla Fuller had 12, and Ashley Starks added 10.

In the men’s game, the Greyhounds prevailed 83-72. The Colts got off to a good start leading by as many as 14 early, and were up 35-30 at the half. But the Greyhounds came out strong in the second half and ran their conference record to 3-0. Terry Anderson was one of three Colts in double figures with 24. Shane Bell had 15, and DeCorian Phillips 14.

Head Coach and Athletic Director Robert Byrd said, “Two very tough losses for us, but we can't hold our head down. We must get back to work to prepare for another tough week.”

Next up for the UAC teams will be a non-conference doubleheader at Williams Baptist College on Wednesday, January 26. The ladies will tip-off at 5:00 pm, the men at 7:00 pm.
